You Don't Know What You've Got Till It's Gone

There are always positives and negatives about summer. The positives would definitely lie in the fact that on days that I don't have to work I can sleep in. But, then there are the early mornings of days that I do have to work. And of course there is that separation of the ones that you care about too. Justin has now gone home (sadness) so I am going to update about our weekend.

Wednesday: We arrived home around 8 to a house empty except for Phil and Taffy. We unpacked my car and just threw it all at the top of the stairs. We had a little something to eat, and then took a walk to look at the cherry trees. They were beautiful, but would have been better if it hadn't have been dusk.

Thursday: We woke up around 10 and mossed around the house until about 2. My siblings had gone to a Speech Contest where Hannah won first place for her speech on caffeine. We spent the morning outside taking pictures of the flowers that were growing oh so beautifully. We then decided to drive into town to go shopping for summer clothes. We met with success at Old Navy and Gap. There was little to choose from at the mall. We were home in time for dinner and then turned around to go back to town to see "Spider Man 3" which was awesome!

Friday: The morning started around 9. Around 10:30 we headed to the two small towns in my area to pick up a salad spinner, go to the bank, walked around an art gallery, and grabbed lunch at the place my siblings work. We then headed back to the mall to pick up a pair of pants from Express that Justin wanted. We then headed home where we hung out until we left again to go out to celebrate my 21st birthday. On the way to the restaurant we saw a pirate ship!! Good thing we were gone before they came ashore to ransack the town! We ate at this small French restaurant called North and had just a great time! We were the first customers, and by the time we left it was a hopping place. We drove down to a beach to open my presents and then drove to another beach to take pictures of Lake Michigan. We arrived back home around 9 and spent time with the family.

Saturday:
We pretty much spent the whole day at home since Justin was leaving on the ferry that night. We made a brunch of fruit salad, eggs, and fried potatoes. Once mom left to go to work we went down to SB to find a Mother's Day gift for her. Hannah went to go babysit next door at 4:45 and Justin and I made burgers for ourselves and dad. The trip to the ferry was three hours, so after saying goodbye to Hannah while babysitting we headed out. Those three final hours with Justin were sad but also so great! It was extremely hard to say goodbye to him because we've grown so close, but it is only 24 more days until I see him!!
