Aliens Ruin Everything

Since I returned home almost 2 weeks ago, my siblings have been asking when we can go and see the new Indiana Jones movie.

Well, those 2 weeks flew by due to my sister's play "Annie" and my brother's baseball games, leaving little to no time to see a movie. When asked once again this past Saturday by my brother as to when we can go and see it I decided to look up show times. What I found out was that one of our theaters no longer is playing it, little surprise, and the other two are near the end of their showing, so we made a mad dash to our small theater in SB to see it.

I won't say that I was not happy to have had the chance to see the movie, but it made me wonder why they had to explain away the amount of knowledge and skill the ancient civilizations possessed with aliens. The action stunts were great as always and the constant stream of humor left my sides aching from laughing, but when I walked out of the theater I didn't think, "Man I have to see that again before it leaves theaters," but rather, "It was ruined by the aliens." I'm sure I'll rent it to see with Justin or my dad when it comes to Blockbuster, but until that day I'm not making a bee-line to stand in line to see it again.

I'm so with you on that! When that spaceship showed up on the screen, the movie totally lost me. It was great to see a new Indiana, but definitely not one I'd want to own!

(As for the rest of the summer, I'm still hoping that Batman doesn't let me down!)

Hope your summer is going well!!

You should have just paid the owner of that nice convertible in the picture to let you drive that instead, at the very least looking at the car sounds more exciting than Indiana Jones + aliens. HAHA.
