A Short and Sweet Update

Since my last update much as happened. In a Todd-like fashion, here is a bulleted update of my favorite moments of Christmas/New Years.

- I took the train home to GR instead of driving because Justin was coming out after Christmas. The 6 hour train ride beat having to drive alone because I could relax and nap instead of sit in traffic

- I was able to sleep in every day, wake up to play with Toby, who followed me around everywhere, and bake tons of Christmas cookies

- I went shopping several times, each time with just one member of my family, which was great for one-on-one time

- Attending church at home is so peaceful, and I love listening to dad preach

- I sang a duet with my sister on Christmas Eve, and I helped out the choir for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services

- My brother and sister-in-law were up from Florida

- My parents surprised our family with a Nintendo Wii for Christmas

- My aunt and 4 cousins came up the day after Christmas and we shared some good memories and laughs

- Justin came out on the 28th and spent time with my family

- Grandma, Aunt Kim, and Uncle Keith were around for New Years

- Did some wedding planning and dreaming

- Moved in with Justin's parents and I am awaiting the beginning of student teaching on the 20th

Lots of family time for the holidays. That's so wonderful.

Good luck with student teaching--my advice, take lots of notes about everything. It's amazing how many of the little details you forget.
