Cinquain

Now, you may have read the title of my post and said, "Has Jess gone whack-o?" (who would be so silly as to think that anyhow!) But I'm sure you are still wondering, "What is a cinquain?" (I can just imagine Hoops and Yo-Yo making a card about this one...) Ok, so today I went down to Northwest Elementary and observed a reading class for Dr. U. Well, it turns out they were reading a biography about Pablo Picaso (his blue period turned rose when he met a girl). The teacher decided the 3rd graders were going to write a biography in a cinquian style and she gave me a sheet to try it myself. Here are the requirements:

Line 1: Name of partner.
Line 2: Two adjectives that describe your partner.
Line 3: Three verbs that describe your partner that end in -ing.
Line 4: Four words that express the feeling of your partner.
Line 5: One word that describes your partner other than his/her name.

Here is what I came up with:

Justin Smith
Devoted, Handsome
Cooking, Sleeping, Mowing
Always Desires God's Guidance
Perfect
