All Dogs Go to Heaven....

Let's hope at least....the only reason my blog is so titled is because our beloved Sheltie, Taffy, died this evening around 7. I babysat until 11 so I did not know. She had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure back in March and then put on Lasix to control the fluid around her heart, but it finally became too much for her today. She laid down in our bathroom and quit breathing. My dad and brother made her a box which is nicely decorated. We're all waiting for mom to get home from work to tell her the news. It seems weird that I feel as if I'm grieving the loss of Taffy more than I did my grandpa, but then again I know I'll see grandpa again, as for Taffy she was a part of the family and will be dearly missed.

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about Taffy.
The loss of a dear family pet is tough. After congestive heart failure and Lasix, I'm thinking she lived a pretty full life and was ready for peaceful rest. Hang in there...it's okay to shed a tear...that shows you care. Remember the happy times you spent together.

Taffy will surely be missed. Even though she is in dog heaven while all cats go to the other place. HAHA...ha. Talk to you soon
