What to do on a lazy Sunday in September...

Go to the... Last Sunday was the day of the Cedarburg Wine and Harvest Festival. After Justin and I spent all morning trying to find a church to go to (we kept arriving after the service had started) we decided to venture to Cedarburg. We had to park 4 blocks away, but the walk down was full of anticipation. The streets were absolutely lined with cars, and once we arrived at Main Street the streets were packed with people too. Four blocks of Cedarburg was fenced off to allow for craft booths, wine tasting, side shows, and food. Justin and I first had to find a bank, but once we had done that we started to walk down one way of the street and ran into quite a few people we knew, including Heidi and Kory!

They directed us to a place to find...

Which we thoroughly enjoyed. Then we partook in a bit of wine.

We walked back up the street with our wine intact and came upon this neat booth of cheese trays made out of recycled wine bottles. They were so cool that Justin bought one for his sis and I ended up buying one for my brother and sister-in-law. We were lamenting that we didn't buy one though.
We continued to walk down the street and followed our nose to a roasted nut stand. Well, we were in need of protein (and sweet) so we partook in the nuts.

There was also a jazz band that we stopped to watch, as well as a few children playing the violin.

Once we had walked all they way down the street we walked back to out cars. Our feet hurt, but our hearts were happy. It was a gorgeous 75-80 degree day- what more could a person ask for?

Sounds like a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The cheese trays made out of recycled wine bottles get the award for most intriguing.

PS. I'm already in the third book of the Zion Covenent series. I think I have an addiction!

What a day that was. I honestly felt somewhat bi-polar that day. Not having church times right and then a wonderful afternoon can make anyone's emotions seem a little off. Thanks for a fun day!

What more could a person ask for? Clearly, spending the Wine and Harvest Festival WITH TODD AND KELLY. Glad you had a good time - Justin told me about those freaking cool cheese trays!!
