A Tale of Two Families...

Once upon a time.....(nah it's been done before)

This last weekend Justin's family trekked up to MI to spend some time with my family and get a feel for the area so that when family starts asking for places to stay they have a good idea. They arrived early Friday morning (10:15) because they left at 2 am!! We caught up on life and then headed to town for pizza and Friday Night Live! (The downtown area gets blocked off and there are street vendors and shows).

Saturday we packed a picnic lunch and went to Glen Arbor to show them the hall. To our surprise there was a reception set up, so we asked the caterers if we could peek in and we got some awesome ideas!! It's the second reception mom and I have seen set up there so it was nice to see how other people have set it up. We then drove over to the sand dunes for lunch and a chance to climb up and then run down them. No one fell, but it was still fun. Ice cream followed and then home for dinner. Justin and I then ran off to get engagement pictures taken and then went back home for more family time.

Sunday was filled with church, brunch, and goodbyes. School starts in 11 days (where has the summer gone) and I get to see Justin every day! :-) YAY!!
