Pre-Student Teaching

FINALLY!!!

This week is speeding by because I am in the classroom teaching science and social studies to a group of 4th graders. I am so excited to finally be doing what I have wanted to do since the 2nd grade. There were times I doubted my decisions, and the early mornings are hard to get use to, but I am loving being in front of the class.

In science they are learning all about Health and Nutrition. Specifically, nutrients, the food pyramid, and how to have a balanced diet.

In social studies they are studying the Cherokee Indians. They have learned about their culture, the differences between boys and girls, and their form of government.

I cannot believe that my first week is half over. The first week in December I move to the 7th grade to teach English and math. They will be studying Poetry and Probability...yippee!! :-)

I am loving it!!!
