Thanksgiving, Wedding, and Snow!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING (a few days late). I spent my Thanksgiving Day with Justin's family. They all go over to their grandparents' house for the big meal, and then to the other grandparents' on Saturday. It was quite the relaxing day, which led up to anticipation of a wedding.

Friday at 2 am, Justin and I pulled out of his parent's driveway, and at 11 am we pulled into Fargo ND. We were in Fargo because my roommate from last year, Danni, got married this weekend. The rehearsal started at 5 on Friday so we had some time to nap and get cleaned up. Following the rehearsal was Danni's bachelorette party. Her wedding was on Saturday at 7 pm, so the morning was quite relaxing. I arrived at the church at 330, and was whisked away to help curl and style hair. Pictures preceded the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful, and a dessert reception followed. Justin and I were the host couple so we made sure the reception went smoothly. It was fun to be running the show, and to hear that people were impressed. Perhaps the funnest part about being the host couple was banning the clanking of glasses, and instituting a new policy for getting the couple to kiss. A couple was required to come and show Thomas and Danni how to kiss, and then they copied it. People were quite creative!!

We left Fargo at 730 am on Sunday thinking that we would make it back by 4, but with the snow that hit WI, and holiday traffic, we finally arrived back home at 720 pm. No snow day today, so my second week of pre-student teaching has begun.
